Attendance
Cllrs. Dolley, Hoskin, Edwards, D. Floyd, S. Floyd, Martin, Harris and District Councillor Egglestone.
Apologies
None.
Declarations of Interest
Cllrs Hoskin and Martin declared a personal interest in payments in respect of the Village Hall improvements.
Public Forum
There was one member of the public present.
Minutes
The Minutes of 14th June 2011 meeting were accepted unanimously.
Matters Arising
Cllr Martin was awaiting to discover the cost of installing poles for the fence at the field.
District Councillor Egglestone is enquiring into repairs to Mary Moon Close road surface and the refilling of the salt bins.
The Clerk was asked to request from Highways a road sign at the entrance to Mushton Lane saying road closed and ask for materials to repaint the finger posts.
Safety Inspections
Cllr Edwards kindly offered to continue weekly inspections of the play equipment and to record the results. Cllr Edwards also offered to examine the annual safety report and determine what actions were necessary.
Contractors Invoices Village Hall Improvements
Cllr Martin reported on his examination of the relevant documents and the Council decided;
- To nominate Cllrs Harris and Martin to meet with the PPP to agree a way forward regarding the faulty surfacing at the Hall.
- To pay no more than 50% of the Calweton invoice subject to discussions with the PPP.
- To ask for a complete resurfacing rather than a test area bonding.
- Not to pay the Kernock Park pro forma invoice until having certain knowledge of who would do the planting.
- To pay the MOR invoices of £4,200 and £364.58 from grant monies already received.
Cllr Martin was thanked for his professional contribution in reporting on the issue.
Planning Permission
The Council approved the application for replacement windows at Rose Cottage.
Finance
The Bank position of Current account £76 and deposit account £3,554 was noted.
The following payments were approved;
- £27.50 for hosting the web site,
- £15 for a wreath and
- £48 for safety inspection.
