Election of Chair and Vice Chair
Cllr Dolley was elected as Chair and Cllr Harris as vice Chair.
Declarations of Interest
None.
Public Forum
There were no members of the public present.
Minutes
The Minutes of 5th April 2016 Council meeting were accepted unanimously.
Matters Arising
Cllr Heap kindly volunteered to publish the defects list for items in the Village requiring repair in the Village News and to ask for volunteers. Cllr Warne reported he had examined the damaged seats and enquired into suitable bolts. Thanks were given to the Walters family for the work in renovating the telephone box and its surrounds.
In the light of various activities being carried out in the Parish to celebrate the Queen’s birthday the Council decided that no further actions were necessary.
Planning Permission
None.
Stiles On Public Footpath
The Chair informed the Council that the land owner of the fields crossed by the public footpath had said he would be willing to install bigger stiles but only if he was reimbursed. The Council decided to pass on this information to the parishioners who wanted bigger stiles.
Play Park Inspection
Cllr Martin reported that he had acted on the safety report and had already rectified the faults for which he was thanked.
Finance
The Council approved the following payments; rent of Hall £220, Safety Inspection £100.80 and Insurance £ 276.49
Mr. King had generously charged no fee as the internal auditor.
Any Other Business
County Councillor D. Pugh said that pot holes should be reported to Cornwall Council by individuals and that he would also seek support from Highways.
