Neighbourhood Policing Team Changes - 2 April 2011
We have received this e-mail from WPC Rachel Short advising us of changes within
the Saltash Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Dear All,
I am writing to you to inform you of some changes within the Saltash Neighbourhood
Policing Team. As some of you may already be aware from the news, the Police Force
is undergoing significant cuts and changes. As from early May 2011 Saltash and
Callington Front Offices will be closing to the public. Leaving your nearest drop
in Stations at Liskeard and Charles Cross.
Local Neighbourhood Teams will become Local Policing Teams with more staff providing
better cover.
On a sad note, I will be moving onto CID and will therefore cease to be your
Neighbourhood Beat Manager, I have loved working in this beautiful area and have
met a great deal of wonderful people along the way. I am positive my colleagues
within the new Local policing Teams will continue to provide you with a great
point of contact and offer support.
I will still be available to contact via e-mail and will pass all your contact
details onto the team.
PCSO Bob Yates and PCSO Natalie Hodges still both remain your rural support
officers and are both very happy to help.
Thank you all for many happy fond memories.
Kind regards,
Rachel.
Should you have any concerns regarding the closure to the public of the above
offices then you can either write to the Devon & Cornwall Police or e mail them
via their
website.
Rachel has supported us well but please make a note of the names of her replacements.
Andrew Harris - Pillaton Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator.
