Parking and Obstruction of the Pedestrian Footpath
This Notice is produced on behalf of the Parish Council following recent complaints from Parishioners in Barton Meadows. The subject is inconsiderate parking and obstruction of the pedestrian footpath.
The matter was raised at the Parish Council Meeting on the 20th June and the 18th July 2012 and we have been in contact both Cornwall Highways and the local Community Police Officer from Saltash.
We have been advised that the Highways Act 1980 gives power to both the Council and the Police allowing them to take action if required.
Remember that if you are parking in a way that causes an obstruction, on or across a pavement or obstructing access for emergency vehicles, action can be taken.
Be sensible, park with consideration to others.
