National Grid Line Works - 23 March 2016
National Grid is carrying out essential refurbishment of the overhead line between Indian Queens
substation and the Landulph substation until Autumn 2016. The work includes re-painting
of pylons and general refurbishment along the route.
The message below gives an update on the situation and warns of temporary road closures.
We wanted to write to you to give you an update on National Grid's Indian Queens - Landulph
overhead line project.
Preparatory work started in January and you may have seen us clearing vegetation so we can
access the pylons. Further work will begin in April which will require some temporary road closures.
These road closures will be taking place throughout the summer.
We're closing short sections of roads so that we're able to get large equipment along narrow lanes,
as well as carry out work on overhead lines. You can view a map of all the road closures and diversions
on our website www.nationalgrid.com/indianqueens.
We have written to residents affected and will keep them updated throughout the works as necessary.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, either through email or our community
relations line on 0800 073 1047, available 7am-7pm Monday to Sunday.
With best wishes,
